Well just to prove that you have to be quick when you have a good idea, Premier Rees has just announced Apps4NSW.
Details are a little thin on the ground at the moment (the competition hasn't been officially launched), but here's what we do know:
- Total prize pool is $100,000.00
- All applications submitted will be Open Sourced
- Applications must foster closer collaboration between the NSW Government and the people of NSW
I'm going to be watching this with interest, hell I'm probably going to enter. Here's hoping that this is an indicator of a real interest in the development of gov2.0 and not something to distract from other events (I know, but I'm a cynic at heart).
